MADRID WANT ALABA
Real Madrid are planning a third bid for Bayern Munich star David Alaba. Los Blancos will make a €65 million offer for the Austria international.Bayern coach Carlo Ancelotti is said to be keen to keep Alaba at the Allianz Arena. But in June, Alaba's father said he was "proud" that Real continue to be linked with his son.
WANS AGREE LLORENTE DEAL
Swansea have agreed a deal with Sevilla for experienced striker Fernando Llorente. The Swans have been looking for a forward following a string of summer departures and are now poised to land the 31-year-old Spanish international, who is due to undergo a medical on Friday, ahead of signing a two-year deal.
OSPINA WANTS ARSENAL STAY
David Ospina wants to stay at Arsenal and fight for his future at the Emirates. The Colombian keeper has been forced to play second fiddle in north London since the arrival of Petr Cech last summer.Ospina was restricted to just four Premier League starts in the past 12 months and has been linked with a summer switch to Besiktas. However, the 27-year-old has played down speculation he could be heading out of the door.Speaking on their pre-season tour, Ospina said: “I have a contract with Arsenal, I’m happy with the team. We are fighting for the top of the league.“Now we have two weeks until we start the season. These friendlies serve us very well.”
ENRIQUE WANTS TER-STEGEN STAY
Barcelona coach Luis Enrique is confident all three of his senior goalkeepers will stay at the club despite reports linking Germany international Marc-Andre ter Stegen with a move to the Premier League. When asked about the possibility of Ter Stegen leaving, Enrique said: "I'm not the least bit worried."We are dealing with the issue with absolute normality, we have three [Stegen, Bravo and Masip] great goalkeepers under contract, who behave in a perfect manner.”
SAKHO DEAL FALLS THROUGH
West Brom will not go ahead with the signing of West Ham striker Diafra Sakho. It was suggested Sakho had failed a medical but we are told that is not the case. We understand Sakho would not have been fully fit for the start of the season and for that reason West Brom will not pursue the deal.A fee of around £15m had been agreed between the clubs.
BATTLE FOR BENTEKE
David Moyes is poised to take on his old club Everton for £30million Liverpool striker Christian Benteke .The Sunderland boss has made a powerful striker a no.1 priority and has the out-of-favour Anfield striker in his sights. But Everton also have an audacious move across Merseyside for the Belgian lined up in the event that Chelsea meet their monster £75million valuation for striker Romelu Lukaku .Crystal Palace moved for Benteke last month but while the south Londoners were ready to meet his £120,000-a-week wages it is understood they failed to match Liverpool’s £30million asking price.Liverpool are adamant that Benteke will stay unless that valuation is met, despite the fact he is down the pecking order at Anfield.
BVB RUBBISH GOMEZ SPECULATION
Borussia Dortmund's director of sport Michael Zorc has rubbished speculation linking his club with a move for Germany forward Mario Gomez.Representatives of Besiktas, where Gomez played last season on loan from Fiorentina, claimed the 31-year-old was in talks with Dortmund and Barcelona.Fiorentina, who still hold the player's registration, are keen to offload their biggest earner this summer, but Zorc says there is no truth to reports he is set to join the Westphalians."Maybe he is in negotiations, but not with Borussia Dortmund. "We have read about it from the media and it's very interesting, but there is no truth to it."
