A record-high of 120 exhibitors have registered for this year’s Joy FM Beauty & Bridal Fair which kicks off July 1, 2010 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The four-day event which promises to be exciting is expected to attract about 7,000 patrons daily.
The official opening ceremony of the 8th edition would be 10 am prompt. The event will feature a marriage seminar and a fashion show.
It will capture everything beautiful and bridal. Exhibitors will include professionals in bridal wears and accessories, beauty and health services, finance and insurance companies, luxurious limousine services, textile companies, catering services, home financing, home furnishing, massage and others from the hospitality industry.
Joy FM Sales Manager Max-Fugah said the set up for the event would be completed on Wednesday evening.
He said very influential personalities have been lined up to handle various interesting topics in the marriage seminar.
“This year’s [seminar] will focus on responsibilities in marriage,” Mr Fugah told Joy FM’s Super Morning Show host, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, Wednesday.
Participants have been entreated to prepare for thrilling marriage topics including: spiritual, moral financial and sexual responsibilities.
There would be, among other side attractions, Miss Joy FM Beauty and Bridal, opportunity for football fans to watch live Ghana’s Black stars match against Uruguay on Friday.
Some exhibitors, who previously took part in the event, touted some benefits they have derived from exhibiting in those editions which the say have enticed them to continue participating in the subsequent ones. They were hopeful this year’s own would live up to expectation.
Mr Stephen Agyei-Jantuah, Operations Manager, Joy Online, during the launch of the event in May, outdoored the unit's support package for exhibitors and patrons.
He said the website will offer a cost effective means for exhibitors to extend the fair beyond the physical confines of the venue and reach clients all year-long as their products would be published online till the next season. With this, they would be able to reach those who missed the fair.
Mr Agyei-Jantuah, who is also the Assistant Group IT Manager for MGL, touted the credentials of myjoyonline.com thus: “An online information portal which offers consumers a one-stop shop for information. Consumers are able to easily access information relevant to Ghanaians and all people of African descent. The portal is updated with the latest news in real time, and covers subjects on politics, business, sports, lifestyle and other issues affecting the continent. The highly interactive nature of the platform allows users to contribute information on events to the site thereby creating a large information base.”
