Jordan Ayew scored a well taken goal as the Black Stars beat Division One side Golden Kicks 5-1 at the Accra sports stadium on Monday.
The warmup game saw Milovan Rajevac assess the 15 players who have reported to camp so far.
Two goals from Richmond Boakye Yiadom, who returned to the national team after three years, ensured Ghana go into the break with a 2-1 lead.
Second half goals from Jordan Ayew, Caleb Ekuban and Fatawu Issahaku put the game beyond the lower tier side.
Some of the other players who have reported to camp so far include Mubarak Wakaso, Andre Ayew, Jojo Wollacot, debutant Edmund Addo.
The Black Stars will face Ethiopia on November 11 in the penultimate game before hosting South Africa on November 14.
Rajevac's men are one point behind Group G leaders South Africa and will need two victories to secure qualification to the play-off round of the World Cup qualifiers.
