The right back is nearing the end of a successful career which has seen him play for clubs in Ghana, Israel, England and South Africa.

“I am doing my D License now and at the same time also being part of the games because very soon I will be hanging up my boots and become a coach,” he told Joy Sports.
“So I don’t have to sit down and wait until I hang my boots.”
“While I am playing and training, I am still working under coaches and doing the license D.”
Paintsil stated his career which has seen him play under coaches such as Roy Hodgson, Alan Curbishley, Sven Goran Eriksson have shaped up his footballing ideas.
“I have learned a lot in soccer since I started my career. I have been with great coaches and learned a lot from.”
“People say coaching is easy but it is not because it takes a lot of courage.”
Paintsil played the Ghana senior national team for thirteen years and was part of the team that Ghana presented at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.
