Head coach of Bofoakwa Tano, John Eduafo, says he hopes to win this season's MTN FA Cup with his sight set on playing in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Bono-based side beat defending champions Dreams FC on Sunday, May 12, to book a place in the final of the domestic cup competition after 120 minutes of action at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.
Bofoakwa, who last played the final of the cup in 1984, will hope they can beat Nsoatreman in the final to get the opportunity to represent Ghana on the continent.
Quizzed about the possibility of making the trip, Eduafo said, “Why not? Every coach’s dream is to play and get to the final, win the final and of course go to Africa."
"So it’s every coach’s dream and it’s also my dream as well to play in the final, win the final and go to Africa."
With the continental ambitions obvious for Eduafo, he would like to take a cue from the story of Dreams FC, who reached the semis of the continental club competition this season.
Before that, however, Bofoakwa will be hoping to survive relegation from the Ghana Premier League with five games left to play.
