Actor and politician John Dumelo and his wife, Gifty Mawunya Nkornu are celebrating one year since they began their journey together as a married couple.
Because their wedding was a private ceremony, Mrs Dumelo on this anniversary let her followers have a peek into their day beyond the pictures that went viral.
In the videos she shared on Instagram, the couple were saying their vows to each other. They had come prepared with their own words.
Mrs Dumelo got people laughing when she jokingly said the actor's love for Ghana was more than his love for her.
She however, promised to be with him through everything including when executing the plans he has for his country.
“I promise to be your best friend, I promise to love you, I promise to love you through rain or shine, I promise to be there all the way,” she said.
John Dumelo, on the other hand, likened the rain on their wedding day to the beginning of a good harvest.
“I pray that this rain would enable us to sow very successful seeds, I saw you in the room you were sad because it was raining but everything happens for a reason,” he added.
Mrs Dumelo so shared a photo of John on his knees giving her a bouquet.
“Happy anniversary babe...thanks for making marriage so easy.❤️,” she wrote.
John Dumelo also thanked his wife for making him the “happiest” man that he is now.
John Dumelo and his wife, Gifty Mawunya Nkornu, got married in May 2019 at the Royal Senchi Resort in Akosombo and welcomed their first child in October that year.
