Editor of Kotoko Express, Jerome Otchere, is of the view that David Duncan should be blamed for the poor performance of Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko’s poor form continued with a narrow 1-0 loss away to Aduana at the Dormma Park to leave the Porcupines with five points in six matches and leave Kotoko bottom on the league log.
Jerome was of the view that the coach should take responsibility for their stuttering start of the campaign.
“Coach David Duncan should be blamed for the abysmal performance of the club because he is in charge of technical affairs so if anything abysmal happens to the club, the coach should be blamed or asked but not the management,” he told Asempa Sports.
On the decision to ask Duncan to step aside, Otchere believed this could be the last of the coach at the club.
“For now he has only been asked to step aside but he has not been dismissed as the head coach of the club.
“But with how things are going on currently at the club, he might not be brought back to the club as the head coach”.
“For now time will tell whether it the right decision taken by the club or the wrong decision taken by the club.”
Kotoko’s next game is against Liberty at Kumasi where assistant Michael Osei will take charge of the club.
