In a thrilling conclusion to the Scottish Premier League season, Ghanaian fullback Jeffrey Schlupp has clinched his first title with Celtic FC.
This marks his second league title triumph after he won the English Premier League with Leicester City in the 2015/16 season.
Schlupp, who is on loan from Crystal Palace, played a pivotal role in Celtic's 5-0 thrashing of Dundee United at Tannadice Park last Saturday, coming off the bench to help seal the championship.
The 32-year-old's contribution to Celtic's success cannot be overlooked. Having made 14 appearances across all competitions for the Hoops with a goal, Schlupp has been an integral part of Brendan Rodgers' team.
His impressive form has seen him feature in ten league matches, and speculation is rife that he might extend his stay at Celtic beyond the current loan spell.
The riot at Tannadice Park was orchestrated by Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn and Adam Idah, who each scored a brace, following an early own goal from Ryan Strain. This victory not only marked Celtic's league triumph but also set the stage for potentially more silverware. Schlupp could add the Scottish Cup to his collection if Celtic overcomes Aberdeen in the final.
Despite his success at the club level, Schlupp remains elusive to the Ghana Black Stars, last earning a call-up in 2021 for a World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia. Meanwhile, his parent club, Crystal Palace, is gunning for the English FA Cup title, adding another layer of excitement to Schlupp's season.
