Ajax midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, says seeing people appreciate his progress and performances always pushes him to get better and serve as a source of motivation.
Kudus was a product of the Right to Dream academy in Ghana before leaving for Nordsjaelland, where his outsanding perfromances saw him earn a move to Dutch side, Ajax.
With injuries slowing down his speedy progress in his first two season with the Eredivisie side, the Ghanaian looks a man reborn in the 2022/23 season, scoring seven goals and providing an assist across all competitions.
His heroics included scoring in back-to-back games in the UEFA Champions League against Rangers and Liverpool - the latter drawing messages from the current talents at the disposal of Right to Dream.
Reacting to their well wishes, the 22-year-old said, "I see a lot of guys looking up to me and really supporting. I think I see that as a motivation."
"It feels inspiring [because] I was once in their shoes, looking up to one the legends from Ghana. So, I think it's an inspiration to even do more and encourage all the guys in Ghana and Africa as a whole that they can also do more than what I'm doing regardless where they come from or where they start."
After starting from the bench in the league game against Go Ahead Eagles last weekend, Kudus is expected to start for Alfred Screuder's team when they play Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday, October 4.
