The Brong-Ahafo Regional branch of the inter-party youth committee was at the weekend inaugurated with a call on Ghanaians to trust, believe and cherished the electoral process to help nurture the country’s infant democracy.
Mrs Augustina Akosua Akumanyi, Deputy Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), who made the call in Sunyani, gave the assurance that the Commission would ensure free, fair and transparency in the impending general election.
The establishment of the committee, which is made up of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), People’s National Convention (PNC), New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was facilitated by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, a German political foundation committed to promoting democracy.
