Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac is eying an exciting campaign at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa with the injury situation improving.
The Black Stars have become accustomed to entering major competitions in recent times without key players through injuries but with just a few weeks to the start of the tournament, Rajevac remains hopeful of assembling a fully fit squad who would be ready to make the finals starting on 11 June.
Ahead of the official announcement of his provisional squad, the Serbian in an interview with www.ghanafa.org says the return to action of some players in the past week is a welcome news.
"Everyone is aware that all of our players are important. But we are hoping they would be OK."
"Gyan played for 30 minutes, Paintsil is playing, Tagoe scored which is good and Vorsah has also recovered.
"The only one who is unavailable is Opoku Agyemang," he said.
However, with the Black Stars' FIFA World Cup campaign just a little over a month away Rajevac accepts that there are still some worries with the situation of Michael Essien, John Mensah and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu.
"I would return to Europe to round up on some players and their injury situation.
"I would have to see everything. Check their conditions and talk to them about everything related to their injuries and recovery. The idea is not to force them to be back but to see if there's any chance of them being fit for the World Cup," the Ghana coach told www.ghanafa.org.
