Insurance industry sources have revealed a groundbreaking deal between Hollard Ghana and Melcom Group that will make insurance more accessible to Ghanaians.
The industry-first partnership is at the final stages of agreement and will see Hollard Ghana provide insurance policies for customers of the retail giant.
The policy will also provide direct access to insurance via an in-store insurance counter, persons close to deal have revealed.
The sources remain tight-lipped about details on how premiums will be charged, but the partnership has the potential of boosting insurance drive in the country.
Melcom, is a retail giant in Ghana with stores across the country and preferred by many Ghanaians while Hollard Ghana is one of the top insurance groups with a General and Life insurance business.
It is expected that the partnership is another rung in Hollard Ghana’s ladder to be at the forefront of improving insurance penetration and financial inclusion in the country.
Sources say customer interests are guaranteed as the two companies are working closely with regulators to ensure compliance with necessary regulations.
