Black Queens Coach, Nora Hauptle, says she is committed to her job despite calls for her appointment as Zambia's Head Coach.
Zambian fans clamoured for the Swiss to be named their national team coach after the Black Queens put on a great showing in February in a 3-3 draw in their final 2024 Olympic qualifier in Ndola.
The result ultimately means Ghana missed out on the Olympics after losing the first leg 1-0 in Accra.
However, the team won admirers with their strong display against one of the top-ranked teams in Africa, including Zambian fans who wanted Hauptle to be their Head Coach.
But speaking to the media ahead of their friendly against Japan on Saturday, July 13, Hauptle said she has a mission to accomplish with the Black Queens.
“I'm the Ghana national team coach. Of course, it's an honour when other countries are asking for me, but I know where I belong to.
“I started here a mission. I have a fantastic squad. I have a very good human relation to my players. So I'm committed here.
“The Mission Volta, the next step is to succeed on a WAFCON. I'm willing to fulfil my job here.
“And besides that, it's not in my mind. But of course, that means that we are not doing things wrongly when there are such demands around.”
