The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has rescheduled its Presidential Evening Encounter with the founder and leader of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar.
This decision comes after Cheddar withdrew from the event, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 18.
In a statement issued by IEA, it said; 'The Evening Encounter at the Institute of Economic Affairs scheduled for today 18 September 2024 with the New Force Movement has been rescheduled because of unavoidable circumstances. A new date will be announced in due course.”
The New Force Movement leader who was expected to speak at the event, withdrew without offering a reason for his decision.
The IEA had previously announced its lineup for the presidential evening encounters and debates on Friday, September 13. Cheddar was set to be the first speaker, with Movement for Change leader, Alan Kyerematen scheduled for September 24.
In addition, the IEA has planned its first and second presidential debates for October 22 and November 19, 2024, respectively.
