Ghana head coach Otto Addo says he has no intentions of sidelining any player from the Black Stars following the omission of some players from the latest squad.
Andre Ayew and Daniel Amartey were some of the big names that did make Otto Addo's 23-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger next month.
Both players also missed the squad for the June World Cup qualifying games raising concerns about their future in the team.
However, Addo says he has no intention of ending the national team careers of any player.
"It's going to be tough and we might also get some knockbacks but this is football and we are looking for long-term development that is why we decided, also, the last time not to invite Andre. For [Daniel] Amartey, it's a bit of the same. He's not played," he said at a press conference on Thursday.
"I said the last time I would never close the door on any player, never! I will say it again the door is always open and it comes with performance. If I'm convinced, I can bring a player back.
"At the moment, this is the status and I will never kick a player out. I try always to be respectful to the players."
The Black Stars face Angola on September 5 before the clash against Niger on September 9.
