Thomas Adjei Wireko, popularly known as King Paluta in music circles, has given an account of his music journey.
The rapper who has recently won the hearts of music lovers with his inviting melodies, told Delay in an interview that he started music around 2007 when Asem released 'Gimme Blow'.
When he was asked if he may have been an underground artiste for 15 years, he answered in the affirmative.
'It could be [15 years]," he told Delay.
According to him, when he was about 14 years old the pursuit of his music business dreams led him into sleeping in music recording studios.
"I was a 'studio rat'. I slept in the recording studio, cleaned the place and even got gifts from people that visited," he said.
He also noted that he learnt how to programme and produce music during this period; a skill that has been beneficial to him at present.
"At the time, it was difficult to even pay for our studio sessions so learning how to produce my own songs has helped me. Right now, I produce most of my songs," he added.
He, however, noted that he officially started releasing songs consistently from 2015.

King Paluta has become the toast of music lovers with recent songs like 'Yahitte', 'Aseda' 'Sika Aba Fie' and his verses on Okyeame Kwame's 'Insha Allah', Strongman's 'Chilling', and Rap Fada's 'Odo Bi Ye Bad'.
He has other songs such as 'Heal the World', 'Eboso', 'All My Life', 'Tonga', 'Aha Akye', among others.
Originally known as a rapper, his inclination towards singing has gotten him rave reviews as it showcases his versatility.
Ahead of the nominees announcement of the Ghana Music Awards on Thursday, March 28, 2024, King Paluta has been tipped by most music aficionados and social media users as one of the artistes who is likely be nominated in the New Artiste of the Year Category.
