Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has denied reports that he was attacked in Krofrom in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region when he went to shoot a music video.
Speaking to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Shatta Wale said he did not get to stay in Krofrom to complete his tasks after he received information that the crowd was being "aggressive".
The 'Melissa' hitmaker stated that because he was going to work, he had some cars carrying his crew preceding but some fans mistook one of them to be his.
"They (crew) told me we shouldn't come to that point because of the way the crowd as cheering and they didn't know which car I was in. It got to a point they said we should leave the location and they will get back to me."
Reports went viral, days after Shatta Wale began his Kumerican tour, that fans of the late artiste Junior US attacked him after he went to Krofrom against their will.
"I was not even there. I didn’t see anything in Krofrom. I did not see anyone being attacked there too. Everything was nice there," Shatta Wale told Andy Dosty, host of the show.
Shatta Wale blamed bloggers for spreading false information to the public threatening to sue the one who made the post first.
"…What do these bloggers want? I’m trying to be nice because we all have to work together as an industry."
"How long are they going to keep doing this? Can’t we write positive things about the industry? We don’t always have to write negative things…"
Shatta Wale is on tour in Kumasi to promote his Kumerica Invasion album which features up and coming rappers from Kumasi, many of whom gained recognition during the Kumerica wave.
