Ghanaian gospel act, Joyce Blessing has responded to backlash following her new song ‘Victory’ written by secular artist Kuami Eugene.
The singer opined that she finds nothing wrong with a secular artiste writing for a gospel artiste.
The songstress said that she grew up listening to both gospel and secular music as she was a member of versatile music bands in the past.
She stressed that talent should be appreciated over personality, adding that it is a big privilege that Kuami Eugene was a part of the production of her Victory song.
This however goes to rubbish statements by fans and her colleagues in the gospel ministry such as Cwesi Oteng who argued that secular artists must not write gospel songs for gospel acts.
Joyce Blessing is currently promoting her new album, ’Victory,’ which is on top of the gospel charts now.
