Meanwhile, the National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku, in a Facebook post expressed displeasure over the attention the photo drew to the YEA. He tasked management of the Agency to ensure ambassadors stick to the highest level of professionalism when paying courtesy calls. “Those willing to cooperate should be supported and welcomed and those unwilling to go by these standards MUST be shown the exit,” he added. Following from the incident, the YEA has also come under criticism for choosing Wendy Shay as an ambassador especially after knowing how she dresses. However, CEO of the Authority, Justin Kodua Frimpong, believes the aim of his outfit is to get a lot of youth involved in the program and not discriminate against people who adore the singer. “The whole thing is to get many young people who are well known to push for the program and get a lot of people engaged,” he stated. Mr Frimpong added, the YEA accepts Wendy Shay’s apology in good faith. “We are all young, and as we are learning, we are bound to make certain mistakes,” he added.View this post on InstagramOn the 4th of July, 2019,I posted an image of myself and His Excellency Former President John Agyekum Kuffour on my social media timeline. This was after I visited him with my fellow Youth Employment Agency Ambassadors officially. The image I posted went viral on social media for the wrong reasons and I will wish to render an unqualified apology to His Excellency and the board and Management of the Youth Employment Agency. I had no intention of bringing his good image into any public disrepute. I would wish to apologize to the general public as well with most of the comments being directed to my outfit. I am a young lady and I am still learning. To err is human, to forgive is divine. I promise to do better next time. Once again, I am sorry. #YEAJobCentre #wendyshay #ArtisanDirectory #FlagshipProjects
