Nigerian singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, has revealed he quit his job as a banker to pursue music.
In a video posted to his Instagram page, the 'Mama' hitmaker said he was unhappy in the financial sector and was inspired to quit the banking profession and follow his dream.
"I am here to tell you to do you. I used to be a banker...I went on to do music and ever since I've been happy," Mayorkun said.
Going on from that, he took the opportunity of the downtime during the Coronavirus lockdown period to learn video editing.
He encouraged his fans and followers to make use of their opportunities and live out their true selves and be happy.
"Banker turned Superstar. No fear. Talk your own? Use the hashtag #DoYou," he captioned the post.
