Football legend, Samuel Eto'o, says he has no problems with players who decide to switch nationality to represent their parent countries.
Recently, African teams have opted to bring on foreign-born board players to beef up their squad ahead of preparations for major tournaments.
Ghana is no exception, with the latest being the recruitment of Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey and a host of others to the Black Stars team.
According to the Qatar Legacy ambassador, even though he has no issues with the decision to bring some of these players, it is only a temporary fix to the problem.
"I am always in view that all those players who come and for their mother countries is a good thing. There is no problem with that" Eto'o said.
"When you look at some of the teams that won trophies with these African players or the team it is only a way to say that we need these players among our teams. Obviously, this is just a temporary solution. The permanent solution will be to make it more attractive.
"Of course, this will require great work to get to the level of the European leagues but it is very important we also reach a good level. In order to bring that ambition in our players to play in the local league as well."
