Deputy Ranking Member of Parliament’s Communications Committee, Samuel Nartey George has spoken again on his induction as an Elder of Perez Chapel International.

He said he has been resisting the call to assume the position for the past three years even though Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare has been encouraging him to.

Speaking to Benjamin Akakpo on JoyNews AM Show Thursday, Sam George, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stated that he would have preferred to continue working secretly for God because he doesn’t like to gain public attention for it.

“Being a church Elder is a position I have been running away from for almost three years now. For me, I keep saying that I'm not a religious person. I am a spiritual person. It is a personal relationship and walk with God.

“I do a lot of work in the church but that is my personal work for God. I didn’t want the titles and the attention. I am humbled anyway that I get the opportunity to serve God in a different capacity. It's all about my service to God,” the Ningo-Prampram MP stated.

Sam George was ordained by the Presiding Bishop of Perez Chapel International, Charles Agyin-Asare on Sunday, May 2, 2021.

He shared the good news on Facebook stating that, “I am grateful to God for His mercies and for finding me worthy of stewardship in His vineyard".

“I pray for greater grace to serve the Lord with all that is within me. May our sacrifice remain a sweet-smelling fragrance before the Most High.” he wrote.
