Ghanaian businessman and politician, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, says he feeds his pet tigers (Kunta and Kinte) a cow every three days.
This follows earlier revelation that he would soon add a panther and some lions to his collection of wild animals.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, he explained that he is now permitted to care for the animals following an assessment of the facility he has constructed for them.
According to him, he is also well-equipped and resourced to ensure the safety of the animals as well as human beings who come into contact with them.
The comment by the founder of the New Force Movement comes on the back of massive backlash directed at him when it was discovered that he was housing tigers in his home.
Subsequently, his neighbors had called on authorities to intervene since they were feeling unsafe.
But he tells host, Andy Dosty that his prime purpose for keeping the animals was to prove to naysayers that Ghana could eventually be one of the countries to breed wild creatures such as tigers.
He also added that he had a dream to build a zoo as part of his portfolio. This zoo will add to his long list of infrastructure such as museums and others.
“I knew that it would open the tourism sector of this country. And we will be the first country in East Africa, West Africa, and North Africa that has bred tigers. I wanted to build a zoo as part of my portfolio.
“I have built a museum, put up commercial, residential and industrial facilities and now I’m onto national projects. I knew that Kunta and Kinte would give me that uprising to go into building a zoo.”

Asked about the whereabouts of the creatures, Nana Kwame Bediako denied claims that the animals were taken from him.
He revealed that they are still in his possession. He added that through the help of the Ghana Forestry Commission, he has been able to build a well-befitting zoo for the creatures.
He stressed that he feeds them with a cow every three days to avoid being attacked by them.
“Nobody took any animal from me. They can’t take any animal from me. They tried to and they didn’t even have the facility. I had the facility. I built it behind my house. We built the zoo. It took us nine months to build a world-class zoo.
“They have always been in my possession. The tigers are my animals. I feed them with one cow every three days. It is very expensive to keep them if not they eat you. If you don’t give them any flesh and you are standing in front of them, they will use you as a substitute,” he said.
Nana Kwame Bediako known as Freedom Jacob Caesar or Cheddar is a Ghanaian businessman. He is the founder and chairman of Kwarleyz Group with a focus on real estate, finance, and property management in West Africa.
Mr. Bediako is the developer of Wonda World Estate and the proposed Petronia City.
