The premise of Silverbird Cinema at the Accra Mall was filled to the brim with patrons eager to see the premiere of the highly-anticipated movie ‘Sugar’.
Sugar is the first movie from the camp of KiDi. The Lynx entertainment signee released this movie alongside his album with the same title on Friday, May 31.
The movie tells the story of a young artiste who went from being a one-woman man to being an every woman man, chasing after everything in skirts.
KiDi plays the role of that musician who allows the fame to turn him into a womaniser until he meets a woman who makes him change his ways.
Although love gave him a second chance, KiDi’s promiscuous ways sent him behind bars endangering the relationship, his image and the career he had built over the years.
The audience did not just love the movie but went crazy for KiDi and Cina Soul’s on-screen chemistry and their reaction in the theatre showed with lots of oohs and aahs.
They roared with laughter anytime the ever funny Richmond Xavier Amoakoh aka Lawyer Nti of Kejetia and Makola fame and Kalybos spoke.
Also, the special appearance of Stonebwoy in the movie sent deafening screams through the room as patrons could not keep calm.
The movie also features James Gardiner, Adjetey Annang, Veana Negassi, Fella Makafui, Kwesi Arthur and comedian DKB.
The event drew other celebrities including Okyeame Kwame, Andy Dosty, Medikal, Kuami Eugene, King Promise, Sarkodie and Dope Nation to the venue.
