A request by former President John Mahama to keep his official residence, the No. 3 Prestige Link house at Cantonments in Accra as a retirement package generated a lot controversy.
Although the former president has withdrawn his request, the controversy it came with has brought the property, situated in one of the capital's most luxurious communities into the limelight.
Below is a drone footage captured by Joy News of the property on December 9, 2016, the day the NDC supporters beseeched the facility ahead of EC declaration of election results. The residence is originally meant to house Vice Presidents.
