The annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards culminated on Saturday in honour of various entertainers in the music industry.
The country’s most anticipated entertainment event was held virtually in respect of protocols to guard against the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
Prior to the main event, Ghanaian actor James Gardiner and TV presenter Regina Van-Helvert hosted the red carpet interactions.
This session saw renowned personalities like the former deputy minister for tourism, culture and creative arts, Dzifa Gomashie, Kidi, Adina, Kalybos, Lexis Bill, Rex Omar, Sammy Forson, Cina Soul and others grace audiences with dazzling outfits and interesting predictions.
The 21st edition of the VGMA had various talents like Medikal, Efya, best new artiste of the year nominee Kofi Mole, Akwoaboah and Darkovibes take turns performing live on stage.
However, trending on social media is singer King Promise for a pre-eminent performance. Fans on Twitter took to their timelines to shower praises on the ‘Commando’ hitmaker.

Eugene Kwame Marfo, known in showbiz as Kuami Eugene, was honoured with the most prominent award of the night.
The 2018 ‘Best New Artiste of the Year’ winner beat industry colleagues Sarkodie, Medikal, Diana Hamilton and Kofi Kinaata to bag the biggest award of the ceremony, after winning the ‘Highlife Artiste of the Year’ earlier last night.
In the last three years, the Lynx Entertainment signee has remained the custodian of the award for this category.
He took to social media to express his gratitude.

Collecting a number awards at the event, Kofi Kinaata walked away with three awards for 'Songwriter of the Year', 'Most Popular Song' and 'Hiplife Song of the Year' at the August 29, ceremony.

After several years of reigning in the Reggae/Dancehall category of the Awards, the Stonebwoy-Shatta Wale ban birthed a new set of winners for the genre.
The 2020 edition of the award ceremony have for the past couple of years seen the same persons pick up honours for the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year and the Dancehall song of the year categories.
Following last year’s altercations between industry gurus Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale nevertheless, the award has been passed on to different hands.
Mr Eazi’s Empawa discovery artiste, J.Derobie took home the Dancehall song of the Year with his breakthrough song ‘Poverty’.
The video was the first on the Empawa platform to hit a million views.
Ras Kuuku was awarded Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the year.
Meanwhile, organizers of the program, Charterhouse are yet to announce the lift of the ban on Bhim President Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, Leader of the Shatta Movement.
