An Accra High Court has quashed the bench warrant issued by an Accra Circuit Court for the arrest of Ekow Amua-Sakyi, one of the most prominent lawyers in Takoradi.
A bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Lawyer Amua-Sakyi on Monday for failing to show up in court after he was reportedly served criminal summons to defend himself in a case in which he is accused of fraud.
Mr. Amua-Sakyi and another lawyer, Kwame Asamani have been accused of forging legal documents to defraud a Tema-based businessman, Kwame Opoku.
