Information gathered by Joy Business indicates HFC Bank (Ghana) Limited's General Manager in charge of Risk Management, Anthony Jordan is likely to be confirmed as the bank's new Managing Director.

The announcement is expected to done in the coming days, sources at the bank have revealed.

This comes at a time the bank said its Managing Director, Robert Le-Hunte will be stepping down after a successful four-year career, to take up a ministerial appointment in Trinidad and Tobago.

Sources said Mr Le-Hunte is likely to take a Ministerial position that will give him superintending role over the utilities sector in his country.

The announcement as the new MD, will see Mr Jordan overseeing the administration of the bank with the total assets valued at $234.3 million, equivalent to GHS 435.3 million.

Prior to his appointment at HFC bank, Mr Jordan  was  the  Assistant General Manager in charge of Corporate and Investment banking at Republic Bank Limited in Trinidad and Tobago.

At the bank, he was responsible for Business development in both Corporate banking and the Capital markets.

He holds an Executive Masters of Business Administration, and a Bsc Management studies from the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago.

Mr Jordan is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in London.

One of his immediate challenge as a new MD would be to oversee a smooth transition process from HFC bank to Republic Bank by the last quarter of this year.

He would also have to address some challenges relating to staff management at the bank.
