A 24-year-old Fulani herdsman, Abubakari Abdulai, has been arrested by the Afienya Police on suspicion of indulging in armed robbery.
Upon his interrogation, Abdulai, who had fresh gun shot wounds all over his back, claimed that he was born and bred at Jimele near Tamale in the Northern Region.
He also stated that he has been working as a herdsman for one Alhaji Issah at Kojokrom near Sempoa in the Nkawkaw District where he was allegedly shot at by an unknown assailant.
However, Abdulai said he did not make a report to the police, neither did he go to the hospital to be treated.
Rather, the suspect left Kojokrom to stay with a brother and friend at Afienya near Tema where he was arrested upon a tip-off.
Police wireless message has been sent to the Nkawkaw District Police to seek confirmation from Alhaji Issah whether the suspect is his employee.
Investigations are also underway to confirm whether the suspect, Abdulai is involved in any crime.
