Herbert Ato Morrison has been appointed as the Acting Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR).
The appointment follows the resignation of former Managing Director Isaac Osei.
A memo signed by General Manager (HR & Admin) Jane Ohenewa Gyekye to the staff informed them that “that upon the exit of the substantive Managing Director, Mr Isaac Osei, the Board of Directors has appointed Herbert Ato Morrison, General Manager (Technical Services), to act as Managing Director until further notice.”
The immediate past Managing Director, Isaac Osei, resigned in December 2019.
Some institutions including The Institute of Energy Security (IES) raised allegations that the immediate past Managing Director of TOR was forced to leave his post for refusing to sign-off a Tolling Agreement. The Institute commended Isaac Osei for his integrity and choosing to resign “rather than to continue as MD and invariably become a party to a questionable scheme that would hurt this country, benefit few private individuals, and saddle TOR and Ghana with more debts.”DISCLAIMER: The Views, Comments, Opinions, Contributions and Statements made by Readers and Contributors on this platform do not necessarily represent the views or policy of Multimedia Group Limited.
