Dr. Thomas Hanson Tetteh, Proprietor and Medical Officer in charge of Salom Gyidi Herbal Clinic, has asked herbalists to use the knowledge they have acquired in herbal medicine to reduce the cost of medical care in their localities.
This he said would preserve the lives of critically ill patients before they are referred to hospital for further treatment.
Dr Tetteh made the request in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Adoagyiri near Nsawam in the Eastern Region.
He appealed to Philanthropists and non-governmental organisations like the African Healers Association, to support herbal practitioners, to expand their services to rural communities, in order to safe lives and enhance the country’s health portfolio.
