Higher Ed Partners Africa (HEPA) is partnering the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology E-learning Centre to chart strategies to enhance e-learning delivery in Ghana.
The leadership of HEPA including the Executive Chairman, Justyna Dymerska and CEO Nicholas Kendall as well as Varaidzo Mhangami, the Managing Director (South Africa) and Linda Deigh, Director of University Partnerships (Ghana), were welcomed by Prof. Eric Appau Asante, the Centre's Director, and Mr. Christopher Addo, Senior Assistant Registrar at the Centre.
Prof. Eric Appau Asante highlighted the Centre's achievements in Ghana’s e-learning landscape. Justyna Dymerska outlined their mission to enhance global access to higher education through online programmes and discussed ways for potential collaboration.
The HEPA delegation also paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor Mrs. Rita Akosua Dickson (PhD, MPharm, GCAP, BPharm, FPSGH, FGCPh, MCPA).
Justyna Dymerska underscored the importance of education in ensuring a thriving and fair society, especially in Africa, saying "In Africa, when you educate one person, they, in turn, impact at least four lives," she said.
Prof. (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, resonated with Nelson Mandela's quote, stating, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
She highlighted KNUST's commitment to becoming a "university without walls" and stressed the university's dedication to building capacity and transformative leaders, placing a high premium on valuable partnerships.
