The words of Hearts of Oak team manager Sabahn Quaye echo the sentiments of the Psalmist which says "Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm."
Mr Quaye in an interview with Happy Sports on Thursday laid the recent down trend of Hearts Oak at the doorstep of some of the long serving players (old players).
For Quaye, Coach Karim Zito has done nothing wrong to merit the recent public outcry and sack from the Phobia family.
"As far as I am concerned, coach Zito has done nothing wrong for a sack, if we should point accusing fingers, then it should go to the "old players."
"You see, if players gain roots in a team they assume the post of politicians, hence the friction between the coach and some of the old players," he said.
Hearts of Oak began their 2007 premier league campaign failing to grab all the three points at stake when they drew 0-0 with Great Olympics before a home crowd.
Their not-too-impressive performance last Wednesday when they were subjected to a three nil whacking by Liberty Professionals generated intense public outcry and particularly within the Phobia fraternity.
It was the second successive victory by Liberty over the Phobians in recent weeks and that resulted in some fans leaving the Ohene Djan Stadium angry and called for Coach Zito's head.
