Hearts of Oak have reached an agreement with Great Olympics for the transfer of their skipper, Gladson Awako.
The Ghana Premier League champions will pay a compensation of about $15,000 to the Wonder Club as Awako's contract is on the verge of expiration.
Sources tell JoySports the agreement between Awako and Olympics will officially come to an end in October 2021.
Thus, the Phobians are paying a compensation for the two months left on the contract.
Awako, on paper, will be free agent in October when his contract officially elapses.
But it is understood Hearts are eager to seal the transfer in order to meet CAF deadline of player registration which is on August 15.
Great Olympics initially played the hardball, demanding over $20,000 from the MTN FA Cup holders, but resolved to settle for the $15,000 because a move to the 21-time Premier League winners pleases the 2009 U20 World Cup gold medalist.

Awako, who was part of the Berekum Chelsea CAF Champions League team is currently in the local Black Stars camp and is expected to leave and undergo medicals in the coming hours .
He will join the Phobians on a two-year deal after turning down offers from Yanga SC in Tanzania and 2015 FA Cup winners, Medeama SC.
The 2000 CAF Champions League winners will be participating in the competition after emerging champions of the Ghana Premier League in the just ended season.
They are keen to bolster their squad and they believe Awako, who has considerable experience on the African terrain with Berekum Chelsea and TB Mazempe will be of great help.
