Accra Hearts of Oak have held talks with Ernst Middendorp as the right man to head the technical outfit of the Accra giants.
This decision to settle on a foreign trainer was taken in a meeting by the board of directors of the club and Middendorp got the nod.
Hearts of Oak have sent a proposal to the German, after a telephone conversation took place between the two parties and he is to study the contract and get back to them.
Hearts of Oak in the course of last season replaced their head coach Herbert Addo with Eddie Ansah as caretaker coach and later hired Can Vanli, a Turkish as an attaché coach to help the club beat relegation.
However, the highest decision making body of the club see no need to settle either settle on Eddie Ansah or Can Vanli in their bid to be a title contender next season.
Ernst Middendorp is not new to Ghana football, he took charge of Kotoko in 1999, before he had a stint with the Phobians in 2004, but left in a bizzare manner.
Hearts of Oak finished the season 4th on the league log, but were inconsistent throughout their campaign and were at certain stages threatened by relegation.
