The Public Relations Officer of Accra hearts of Oak, Albert Commey, has congratulated supporters of Accra Hearts of Oak for the tremendous support they offered the team at the Baba Yara sports stadium in Kumasi where the team defeated their archrivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko, by a lone goal in a game dominated by the phobians.
Mr. Commey went on to congratulate the playing body for executing their duties with high diligence. He believes the team did enough to win the game despite very dodgy decisions from Referee Fletcher whose performance has been questioned by many. He therefore indicated that Hearts will register their misgivings about the referee at the appropriate quarters.
Mr. Commey, who was speaking on Asempa FM Monday morning, said Hearts prepared adequately for the game even though they consider the game as one of the ordinary ones in the league. He added that the players know the history and the prestige attached to performing well in such a game and made the phobian family proud.
He told fans to keep supporting the team as they look to playing better and moving on to win all the games ahead.
In a related issue, Alex Asamoah has congratulated the playing body of Accra Hearts of Oak for their exceptional performance in the first leg of Ghana’s version of the El Clasico.
The Kumasi Asante Kotoko marksman was subbed very early in the game due to an injury he sustained in his thigh. He said Kotoko would have beaten Hearts if he had played the full length of the game.
Alex watered down suggestions that the Kotoko Coach, Ebo Mends, was not good enough, insisting that the coach is a very competent one and should not be judged by just a game.
He however admits that the team belongs to the supporters who have every right to decide who should handle their team.
On the inclusion of Aziz Ansah in the starting line up, Alex said the team was glad to have such an experienced player on their side and expressed confidence that in the games ahead, Aziz will show the stuff he is made of in becoming an integral part of the Kotoko set up.
Alex Asamoah allayed fears that he will be sidelined for a long time, insisting that he should be back in full flight after resting for a week.
