Hawkers in the capital city say they will continue to ply their trade on the streets and pavements until the city authorities take a decision to sack them even though ultimatum for them to stop ends today.
Many of them especially hawkers at the Nkrumah Circle were hesitant to display their wares Monday morning.
The situation is different in the central business district, because its business as usual for the hawkers on the streets and pavements.
The AMA issued a two week ultimatum for hawkers to voluntarily leave the streets and pavements failing which they will force them out.
But the hawkers tell Joy News until the bye-laws are enforced, they will continue to work.
