The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has apologised to the residents of Akwatia and its surroundings in the Eastern Region for Thursday’s power outage in the area.
Manager of Corporate Communication, Dzifa Bampoh in a statement explained that the Akwatia substation experienced a fire incident, therefore interrupting the power supply.
She noted that the Company’s engineers are working earnestly to resolve the fault and restore power supply.
“GRIDCo apologises for the inconveniences caused,” portions of the statement read.
