Ghana's Black Stars trainer, Claude Le Roy has said that he believes rigorous training will make a huge difference in his team's quest to conquer Africa.
The coach said meticulous training would be the team's watchword ahead of the competition that brings together Africa's finest sixteen.
"To be champions means making major sacrifices. Our training in the build up to the competition will be extremely tough. "Discipline will also be at all time high beginning January 15 - February 10.
Coach Le Roy who said this in an interview in Accra on Tuesday, added that "We know one must be a warrior and be ready to go the extra mile to become a champion, we are therefore more than prepared to go through the extra mile for that special reason."
The four time African champions are expected to play two high profile games before the three-week fiesta commences on January 20 in Accra.
The Stars are already billed against Morocco and Saudi Arabia next week and the French trainer believes engaging stronger opponents like Cameroon and Cote D'Ivoire could put the team's preparation on the right path.
Also on the bill of the team's card is a proposed four nation tourney a month after the Ghanaians encounter with the Ivorians in London later in October.
The Black Stars will be making a fifth attempt at gold at the biennial tourney.
