Dreams FC coach CK Akonnor has played down talks his side will be intimidated by the reputation of Kotoko ahead of their matchday 8 Ghana Premier League fixture in Dawu.
The league debutants are set for their biggest home match at Dawu so far with a huge fan base of the Porcupine Warriors expected to make the trip.
Ahead of the game, Akonnor is contemplating on making a few changes to his side as his side are hampered by a few injuries.
“We have one or two injury situations but by Wednesday, we will see how it goes,” he told Adom FM Sports
“If they are fit, hopefully they will be involved otherwise we have a Plan B.”
Kotoko come into the game on the back of two straight victories but Akonnor is confident this situation coupled with the reputation of the Porcupines will not send shivers down the spine of his team but will rather propel them to another victory.
“There is no fear but we aware of the threat and pedigree Kotoko possess. They are no small team and we expect a charged atmosphere.”
“We respect that but we are not intimidated,” he added
“It is because every match has a different situation which demands different character so we enter every match with a different approach.”
“The game against Ashantigold will be different because of the atmosphere and supporters so we have made the players aware and I am sure the experienced ones know that already.”
“The preparations are different but we enter every game with seriousness.”
“Kotoko will come wanting to win, we will also want to win but the better side on the day will carry the day.”
Dreams are unbeaten at Dawu so far picking up two wins and a draw.
