Hearts of Oak coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has expressed his frustration over the team's inability to acquire quality strikers following their defeat to rivals Asante Kotoko.
The Premier League loss marked Ouattara’s third defeat to Kotoko in ten months - twice in the league and once in the Democracy Cup.
Under his tenure, Hearts have recorded 12 wins, 7 draws, and 11 defeats, with the team averaging just a goal per game across 30 matches while conceding 25.
Speaking after the match, Ouattara remarked, "I don't want to blame any player, but when you are big and go to the supermarket, don't bring any small attackers, and that is the problem."
His comment came after Asante Kotoko's Amoah scored a dramatic late winner in the 95th minute on matchday 13 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The goal, which resulted from a miscommunication between Hearts defenders Kelvin Osei Asibey and Benjamin Asare, secured a 1-0 victory for the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Stadium, sending the home fans into wild celebration.
The defeat leaves Hearts of Oak searching for answers as they look to strengthen their attack and bounce back in the league.
