Legon Cities recorded their second win of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season following their win over Young Apostles on Monday night.
Dennis Adoma and Rahim Yaya Abdul were both on the scoresheet for Paa Kwesi Fabin's side in the 2-0 win at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Both teams came into the fixture in search of back-to-back wins for the first time this season having won their last respective games.
It was Legon Cities who came blazing at the start of the game as they saw their first attack come off the crossbar after 10 minutes played.
But there was no denying the Royals five minutes later as Adoma scored to put them ahead in the fixture.
Cities went into the break a goal to be good against the Wenchi-based side.
Right at the start of the second half, Williams Adjei failed to make it 2-0 for the home side as his header was saved by the Apostles goalkeeper.
The second half saw less threats from the two teams and just when the game looked to be ending 1-0, Abdul got onto the scoresheet.
The win over Young Apostles sees Legon Cities now occupy the 17th spot with Dreams FC dropping to the bottom of the league table.
