Accra Hearts of Oak had goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare to thank after his wonderful display earned them a point in their matchday 5 clash against Aduana FC.
Hearts were hoping to build on their impressive point at Nations FC last time out, but found themselves frustrated by a determined Aduana at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Hearts went close midway through the first half when Ransford Mensah’s effort missed the goal by inches.
Hearts goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare then pulled off a superb save to deny Aduana minutes later, in what looked like a certain goal for the visitors.
The second half was a keenly contested affair with very little action in front of goal.
However, Aduana could’ve claimed all three points if not for another sensational save from Asare to deny them on the 70th minute mark.
Both teams seemed content with the result in the dying embers of the game, with very little risk taken during the period.
The result leaves Aduana in 17 place, while Hearts climb to 10th on the table.
