Kelvin Oppong’s 80th minute strike was enough to rescue a 1-1 draw for Bibiani Gold Stars in the matchweek 6 game against Nations FC.
Nations FC dominated the opening half and took the lead after 34 minutes when Faisal Charwetey scored with a brilliant finish.
The home side took the lead into the break at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, hoping to build on in the second half.
However, a rejuvenated Gold Stars team side emerged from the dugout in the second half and created some decent opportunities to equalize.
Nations FC goalkeeper Kofi Mensah kept out the opposition and threatened to be the saviour for his side, before Oppong struck 10 minutes to full time to ensure a share of the spoils.
A scintillating display from Bibiani’s Charles Gyamfi Kamara earned him the Man of the Match award.
