The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged government to do all within the nation’s resources to address the concerns of workers in a manner that is commensurate with their efforts.
A statement signed by Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, deputy General Secretary of the party, indicated that “We consider that a speedy resolution of the problems of workers on the labour front and the problems of the erratic power supply and water shortage that they daily face would do the nation good.”
It expressed the hope that workers in the light of the lead role they play in the nation’s development, would continue in their collective efforts to build a better Ghana.
The statement said “The National Democratic Congress (NDC) extends its warmest greetings to the workers of Ghana and the world at large on May Day. We wish to salute the untiring workers for their great sense of duty and the sacrifices made over the years” The statement said.
