Government will redistribute affordable housing units for interested workers across the country when it is completed next year.
The project started by the previous administration of the New Patriotic Party was alleged to have been distributed to friends and cronies of the past government.
Speaking to Joy News, the Minister for Water Resources Works and Housing, Albert Abongo, said the houses when completed will be re-distributed on merit.
According to him, the housing units are half-way done and will be fully completed by June next year.
“The project is about 65 per-cent done, we are hoping that close to the end of this year we should be about 80-90 per cent done.
Some 50,000 families stand to benefit from the project when it is finally completed.
