The Volta Regional Secretary of the Civil Servants Association (CSA), Seth Kojo Adegah is all praise for the government's approach to addressing civil servants' problems which he says has been positive so far. He told the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Thursday that the problem of wrong job placements in the service was corrected at the end of October last year. Mr Adegah said the Accountant General's Department was working on other outstanding issues regarding distortions in the pay of civil servants and that everything would be "clear" by the end of January. He appealed to members of the association to seek explanations from their leaders on issues that might bother them and said he was optimistic the labour front would be peaceful this year. The GNA said it found out most workers were yet to get over the long holiday mood and get busy behind their desks when it visited some offices in the municipality. By 0900 hours some workers including some heads of departments had not got to their offices while those around were taking it easy discussing how life would be like this year. Their immediate concern was how to see their wards and children off when schools reopened.
