The government has issued an urgent advisory for all Ghanaian nationals residing in Lebanon to leave the country immediately, citing a rapidly deteriorating security situation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration expressed serious concern over the ongoing crisis and its potential risks to the safety of Ghanaians in the region.
In a press release dated Friday, October 4, the Ministry noted the limited availability of flights out of Lebanon and urged Ghanaians to seize these opportunities to evacuate.

It emphasised the need for prompt action to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens in the face of escalating tensions.
For those who lack travel documents, the government has made provisions for Emergency Travel Certificates, which can be obtained from the Ghanaian Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, or the Honorary Consulate in Beirut, Lebanon. This initiative aims to assist all nationals in facilitating their departure from Lebanon.
The government has reassured Ghanaians that it will provide all necessary support to ensure their safe return.
Authorities are urging citizens to act quickly to avoid any emergencies and to prioritise their safety in light of the current circumstances.
