A good Samaritan has come to the aid of an amputee after JoyNews aired his story.
Simon Alale's legs were amputated after a bus accident in 2019 on his way back to Garu in the Upper East Region.
He was returning from Prestea where he had attended his father's funeral.
The widely publicized accident killed some passengers and left others injured, including Simon.
JoyNews highlighted Simon's predicament which attracted a philanthropist who wants to remain anonymous to assist him establish a business.
The philanthropist donated 5000 cedis to the accident victim through Sung Bie'la Foundation that initially donated 7000 cedis to Simon.
This means that a sum of 12, 000 cedis has been donated to Simon to establish the business.
When JoyNews' Mahmud Mohammed-Nurudeen together with the founder of Sung Bie'la Foundation, Hajia Zenabu Awinbe Salifu, visited Ataamidaboot community in Garu to donate the 5000 cedis to the victim, Simon had already started building a shop to stock items to sell.
Simon thanked them for the assistance provided so far and requested more in order to establish himself successfully.
