The UK chapter of the Gonjaland Association sents congratulatory message to the NDC and president-elect John Atta Mills.
Below is the full text of the message:
On the occasion of the election of Honourable John Daramani Mahama to the high office of the Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana under the Presidency of H.E. Professor John Evans Atta Mills, the entire members of the Gonjaland Association (UK) wish to extend their warmest congratulations to you.
We trust that the mandate giving to you by the people of Ghana would be sacred during your tenure in office, with your past record we believe you will serve them with sobriety, dedication, trust, and would always be part of them.
Further, we would like to take this opportunity to also congratulate all the Members of Parliament from Gonjaland and Ghana in general, for being elected as the people’s representatives. We would like to remind you that, this success is for the whole nation. Our prayers and support will be with you always in the pursuance of your duty to the people. It is our hope that you would help bring about development and positive change to the people Ghana.
Gonjaland Youth Association (UK) would also like to thank the National Democratic Party (NDC) for giving a distinguished son of Gonjaland the opportunity to serve our country as a Vice-President.
We would like to congratulate the people of Ghana for putting the country in a pole position in the African Democratic Development by maintaining peace and tolerance during the elections.
